Pic-a-Pix Pieces is a graphic puzzle game based on the principles of a puzzle invented by a Japanese graphic artist Nona Ishida, known as Picross. ts developer is the American company POWGI (Puzzle on word games Inc.), which specializes in publishing mobile applications and console titles based on well-known and popular word and number puzzles, such as Sudoku. The developer's games have been released primarily on Nintendo and PlayStation platforms. Mechanics In Pic-a-Pix Pieces, large illustrations are hidden in a grid of smaller numerical diagrams. The player's task is to paint individual fields of diagrams in such a way that the result is a drawing. The numbers on the top and side edge of the board tell us which elements to select they tell us how many fields in a given row or column should be filled in in order to solve a particular puzzle. The game includes total of three hundred puzzles, the level of complexity of which can be adjusted to individual preferences. Together they make up a total of twenty large drawings. Game modes The game offers a cooperative multiplayer mode, which is designed for up to four people. Technical aspects Like games from POWGI, Pic-a-Pix Pieces features very simple two-dimensional visuals and extremely minimalist soundtrack and BGM.
