Summer Catchers is a two-dimensional racing game with elements of adventure prepared by the small studio FaceIT. The publisher is Noodlecake Studios, known for its various titles released mainly on mobile devices. Story The game tells about the adventures of a young girl from the far, cold north. One day, she realizes that she had never experienced a warm summer in her life, she had never seen the ocean or real albatrosses. She decided to change this and sets off on a journey. Mechanics Summer Catchers is a so-called auto-runner. This is a specific type of game, very similar to endless runners. In this case, our character drives forwards by herself, and our task is to ensure that they she can proceed, using a variety of items. We buy them in a special shop for money earned in the game. During the ride gadgets are displayed on the side of the screen, from where we choose them at appropriate moments, e.g. using a bumper is useful just before crashing an obstacle, and nitro will accelerate the vehicle on the straight road. The levels are generated randomly, so we never know what will happen to us during the journey. From time to time we are taken into several thematic locations, to which we gain access, among other things by performing tasks for the characters we meet.
