Falcon 3.0 is a realistic flight simulator that allows players to sit at the controls of an F-16 fighter called "fighting falcon". Version 3.0 was created by the same team of the British studio Sphere. In Falcon 3.0 for the first time we have to take care not only of our own skin, but also of our winged ones, because we command a small group of up to 8 planes in a group. Together with our team, we can take part in three air campaigns taking place in Israel, Kuwait and Panama, where we are awaited by crowds of opponents with the most dangerous Su-27 at the forefront. The absolute novelty of the game is the non-linearity of the missions, which are not predefined, and each subsequent task that we have to face depends on the execution of the previous one. Due to the complexity of the simulation before departing for real combat missions, it is advisable to undergo a comprehensive training, practicing your skills over the Nevada deserts. The strongest side of the game is realism. The advanced panel allows you to comprehensively define details such as flight model, intelligence of allied aircraft and enemy forces, weaponry efficiency, radar operation or SAM launcher efficiency. Thanks to this we can also adjust the level of difficulty of the simulation to the player's skills. As part of the campaign, we will carry out missions of various kinds, such as bombardment of bridges, protection of ground forces, escort missions. There will also be an opportunity for a large number of air duels. For all players who appreciate the possibility of competing against a living opponent, the authors have prepared the possibility of playing the duel via a modem or a cable connected to a serial port. The game frame was made correctly despite pure vector graphics, we can observe a large number of ground objects, such as mountains, lakes and rivers. The game also features many digitized intermittent scenes, depicting e.g. aircraft taxiing, taking a seat in the cockpit, as well as for those who will not be lucky in battle a spectacular military funeral with honors. Due to its complexity, Falcon 3.0 has been updated with a number of bug fixes, graphics and multiplayer options. The game engine was also used to create many other simulation productions, such as Hornet: Naval Strike Fighter or Mig-29: Deadly Adversary.
