Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a metroidvania in the form of an action platformer game. The game is based on the licence of the book series by Ryo Mizuno, entitled Record of Lodoss War. The project is the result of collaboration between Team Ladybug and Why so Serious?, and is published by the second team in cooperation with Playism. PlotRecord of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth takes us on a journey to the fantastic world of Forcelia, created for the Record of Lodoss War books. The action of this game was set before the events presented in the novel Record of Lodoss War: Diadem of the Covenant. The main character of the game is an elf named Deedlit, who wakes up in the labyrinth. Having no idea what this place is or how she got there, the protagonist starts exploring it, trying to find answers to her questions and trying to find the way out. MechanicsRecord of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a side-scroller. During the game we travel through linked locations forming the labyrinth, solve occasional environmental puzzles and fight with enemies. During dynamic clashes we use a sword to attack enemies in close combat and a bow to eliminate them from a safe distance. As we progress we gain new weapons and some useful power-ups and spells. In addition, elements play an important role in the game, which we use primarily to attack enemies and defend ourselves. While Salamander, i. e. the fire spirit, provides Deedlit with protection against fire attacks, the opponent launching the latter can only be vulnerable to strikes inflicted with the help of the wind spirit called Sylph, and vice versa. The key to success is learning to switch between elements on the fly, which is especially useful during complex boss battles. In addition, when you deal damage to enemies, the level of each spirit increases, and when you reach the maximum level the third the character's life bar automatically regenerates, but be careful, because a targeted enemy attack lowers the level of a particular element. Spirits also allow you to avoid obstacles in the maze; for example, you can use fire to destroy barrels in your way, and you can use a wind spirit to avoid spikes in the ground by flying over them.
